Treatment for “Flat feet”
All our feet are different and some people may be told they have what is commonly referred to as ‘flat feet’. Although there are many different types of ‘flat feet’ it broadly means that the arch is reduced in height along the underside of the instep (medial arch). There are many factors the influence the shape of our feet which means there is a wide range of ‘normal’.
We do not treat ‘flat feet’ unless there is pain which can be a precursor to many painful syndromes due to altered foot and lower limb mechanics and reduced force absorption.
