Treatment for Metatarsalgia (Ball of foot pain) in Cambridge
This term can commonly be used to refer to any forefoot pain that will have a range of symptoms and causes. Specifically, metatarsalgia is an inflammation and/or degeneration of joints of the forefoot (usually of the 2nd-4th “metatarsal heads”). Characterised by local pain and inflammation, often with a feeling of a “pebble in shoe”, aggravated by weight-bearing and movement.
